Fraser Valley Youth Choir aims to provide a high quality choral music experience to enrich the lives of youth the in the Lower Mainland.
For Singers Who
- Are ages 15-22
- Have experience singing in a choir or musical theatre program (school, church or community)
- Have some music reading skills, a good sense of pitch, and an understanding of basic vocal technique
- Are open to learning a variety of styles/genres of music – from pop to classical!
- High school singers are expected to be participants in their school’s choir program (if applicable)
When
Rehearsals take place Monday nights, 6:00-8:00 pm
Your year-long choir membership includes
- 4 public concerts for audiences in Abbotsford (as well as additional performance opportunities throughout the year)
- The opportunity for a 2-day choir retreat at a local camp
- Touring and travel performance opportunities
- Opportunities to collaborate with guest artists
- A free one-on-one voice lesson with Liisa Nessim to start the year!
Cost
$500 for the year, which covers weekly music instruction September-June. Payment plans and bursaries available.
